I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as PCLinux, is in fact, GNU/PCLinux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus PCLinux. PCLinux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

The Mozilla Thunderbird email client has been udated to 2.0.0.23. This is a security update to close a reported a mismatch in the treatment of domain names in SSL certificates between SSL clients and the Certificate Authorities (CA) which issue server certificates.

This update will be part of your normal updates from the Synaptic Software Manager. More information about this security update can be found on the Mozilla website.

The Enlightenment (E-17) desktop packages got a full update this week bringing in the latest snapshot from the E-17 developers. If you are wanting a nice eye candy desktop without the bloat then install task-enlightenment from the Synaptic Software Manager. Log out to the KDE or GDM log in manager, click on session, change to E17 then log in as usual.
