x window gak mau jalan

minta tolong nih, komputer server dikantor pake linux, karena hardisknya penuh tiba-tiba heng, file-file udah banyak yang dihapus, tapi ketika booting tetap aja ke mode teks, udah dicoba perintah startx tapi tetap gak mau, keluar pesan XFree86.log.
tolong donk soalenya termasuk server yang ditinggal ama adminnya...

wah susah juga yah.....gimana kalo masuk safe mode trus masuk root atau user trus datanya yang penuh itu dipindah ke kompi lain dulu.......wogh komputer server hardisknya penuh?emang pake HD berapa tuh?trus pake distronya apa yah?

coba di tulis disini pesan errornya apa? biasanya sih pesan errornya masalah "monitor".

solusinya coba edit file xorg.conf kalo ga salah, di folder /etc/x11.. lupa..

biasanya nomor barisnya yang error ditunjukin waktu jalanin perintah startx. nah periksa baris tersebut. kalo masalahnya di bagian monitor coba hilangkan tanda petiknya

misal seting lama tertulis:
"monitor 17" generic"

ilangin tandi petik di 17" tersebut jadi:
"monitor 17 inch generic"

gini lho pesan error...

Gitu lho pesan errornya kayak di atas. btw hardisknya udah aku ada ruang kosong, sementara pada awalny penuh terpakai 100%, sekarang ada space kosong 2%.....
tolong bantuannya.....
